Action for Blind People is one of the largest charities in the UK providing confidential support for blind and partially sighted people in all aspects of their lives.

We are dynamic and have a reputation for talking less and doing more.

Driven by the needs of visually impaired people, we deliver what people say they need, not just what we think they need.

Our mission is to inspire change and create opportunities to enable people with sight loss to have equal voice and equal choice.

Redcar Models & Hobbies have been trading since October 1994. Opening originally in Redcar Lane, it brought a model shop back to Redcar, which had been sadly missed over the previous years. Four years ago Redcar Models moved from the side road to the High Street and has been expanding it's selection ever since. in 2006, Andrew, who has worked in the shop for 5 years took over, and is now able to offer a continually expanding range of products.
 

Our shop stocks a wide range of '00' railways by Bachmann and Hornby, with supporting ranges from Peco, Gaugemaster and their subsidary ranges. Diecast by Bburago, Corgi, Lledo, EFE, Vanguard etc., are just a few of the well know names that you can regularly see on the shelves.

Kits by all the major manufacturers are also stocked and a recent edition has been the range supplied by Pocketbond, Slotcar racing by Scalextric and SCX has been a popular demand in the town, and many cars, sets and accessories are stocked.

The shop has a small but popular radio control section, and what we haven't got in stock, we will always try to order.

We went on-line in September 2004 to cater for those people who cannot get to Redcar, but wish to take advantage of our offers

The club was formed in 1926 and is affiliated to the E.B.A., E.W.B.A., E.I.B.A. and E.W.I.B.A. and the county associations. It is now, in terms of membership, the largest outdoor bowling club in Yorkshire.
The original Redcar Borough Park B.C. was a men only club playing on council greens and operating from accommodation within Borough Park. It is now an amalgamation of the original club and bowlers from the Redcar East Community Association.

 We are very proud of the fact that we are the oldest golf course in Yorkshire having being established in 1887.

Our Championship links course, again the only links course in Yorkshire, is situated by the shores of the North Sea and measures 6696 yards from the white tees with a par of 72. The Ladies play from red tees all the year round and their course measures 5577 yards with a par of 73.
